Our Product
Glacier Rock Enterprises, Inc. has developed a bacteria and enzyme additive that can be introduced into farm manure digesters in order to improve the digestion process and promote better health of the overall digester.
Through our own experience working with our digesters, we were noticing issues with crusting on top of the manure in the digester that inhibited efficient operation. This led us to work with a bacteria engineer to develop a bacteria and enzyme recipe to effectively deal with these issues.
What Do Digesters Do?
The bacteria in the form of a granular product can be applied in a measured amount at a specified rate into the manure reception pit before entering the digester. This helps to break down the fatty chains in the manure so the energy is more readily available at the beginning of the digester in the acid chamber and maintains the colony of anaerobic bacteria within the digester.
When used properly, the product that we developed will improve methane production and yield a greater volume of methane, reduce crusting, reduce the build-up of struvite in the digester piping, reduce or eliminate foaming in the digester to keep flame arresters from clogging, and stopping the gas flow, bacteria are carried into the gas pipes & gas chillers keeping them clean, avoiding blockage and improve the overall health of the digester system.
For over 8 years we have been using and testing the bacteria/Enzyme compound on our own digesters, and the mixture has achieved the desired results. It has a proven record of effectiveness.
